About our name
W W Truxes Jr. gets his wings at 25
American Liberator Aerospace LLC name is to honor my father. Bill Truxes. He was a pilot of a B-24 Liberator. He was shot down during the battle of the bulge. He was shot down while on a mission to take out a communication sight on Christmas Eve. He had a son born on December 16th and a wife at home that first got the information that he was MIA. Then got the information that he was a POW in a German prison war camp. Six months latter he was heading back to Nebraska and his wife and son.
